DaklaPack Rallysport withdraws from the KEC400

Yesterday we were forced to withdraw from the KEC400. After a strong performance in Stage 3 on Saturday morning, Pim Klaassen and Gerhard Schutte were unfortunately involved in a serious traffic accident during the liaison section — through no fault of their own.

While taking a right turn, they were overtaken at high speed by another driver in a hurry. Miraculously, both Pim and Gerhard, as well as the other driver, were unharmed.

Dave and Tessa were just about to leave the bivouac for Stage 4 when the news reached them, and they immediately went to the scene to offer assistance.

We are sincerely grateful to the event organization for their professional support. Safety always comes first — and today, we are especially thankful that everyone walked away safely. 💛 ...

Day 1 of the KEC400 ✅ Today was all about qualifying and Stage 1

Dave and Tessa had a bit of a tough start — a couple of navigation errors during qualifying and fuel pressure issues in Stage 1 cost us some time. But we made it to the finish, and standing P17 overall at the moment.

Pim and Gerhard had a solid day in the Taurus and are currently sitting P10 overall — great start to the rally!
